Nintendo is marking the upcoming retail launch of New Super Luigi U, and continuing its celebration of the Year of Luigi, with a special event in partnership with the Chicago Transit Authority and its "L" train, Nintendo announced today.

Part of Chicago’s “L” train, the Brown Line, will be rebranded as the “Luigi Line,” and a special train covered inside and out with images of Luigi will run on that line from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time Aug. 12. In addition, Luigi himself will appear on the train. And the upper platform of the lobby at the Clark/Lake station, located at 124 W. Lake St., will host kiosks where fans can play New Super Luigi U.
New Super Luigi U is already available on the Wii U eShop for $19.99 as downloadable content for New Super Mario Bros. U. A retail disc-based version will be released Aug. 25 for $29.99. You can read our review of the Luigi levels here.
