LED game screens help stranded airport passengers pass time

LED game screens installed at Shanghai Pudong International Airport offer kids entertainment in an otherwise dull environment, Chinadaily reports.

The interactive screen, unveiled June 1, lets kids play games by moving their hands, legs and bodies. The system currently features titles such as Fruit Ninja and Horsey Run Run.

With the screens installed, the airport hopes to help calm passengers and keep anger levels low — though according to industrial analyst Huang Jinxiang, the lack of time makes game playing a low priority.

"Most of the passengers just want to reach their destination as soon as possible, so they prefer punctuality over playthings," Huang said.
