Square Enix is bringing a handful of its unreleased games to Gamescom this year, including in-development adventures from its subsidiary studios and the latest entries in the Final Fantasy franchise, the company announced today.
Attendees will be able to watch special demo presentations for Eidos Montreal's upcoming Thief reboot and Murdered: Soul Suspect. The presentation of Murdered: Soul Suspect will include a special interactive photo booth that will allow attendees to see what it's like to become a ghost.
Hands-on time will also be available for Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn, set to launch later this month, along with special presentations from the game's producer and director, Naoki Yoshida. Longtime series producer Yoshinori Kitase will also be present to share more information on Final Fantasy 10 and 10-2 HD Remaster, which will be available for attendees to play. Square Enix will continue its media showcase of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 with hands-on opportunities and additional presentations by producer Kitase and design director Yuji Abe.
Vistors to Square Enix's booth will also get hands-on opportunities with Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix for PlayStation 3 and Deux Ex: The Fall for iPad. Final Fantasy 15 and Kingdom Hearts 3, both announced at E3, will be shown as part of the booth's trailer display.
Gamescom will take place in Cologne, Germany Aug. 21 through 25. Polygon will be on hand to provide coverage of the show.
