World of Tanks update adds Soviet and German machines, new Tundra battle

The latest update to Wargaming.net's World of Tanks will bring new war machines to the German, Chinese and Soviet factions, as well a new battleground, the developer announced today.

Update 8.8 adds a new branch of medium Soviet tanks for Tier 6 and above. This line includes the Tier 6 A-43, Tier 7 A-44, Object 416 Tier 8, and the newest top-tier option for the medium tanks, the Object 140.

Players using the German branch of ranks will gain access to the Tier 4 DW heavy chariot and the Tier 6 VK3002 (M) medium tank. Additionally, the VK3001H heavy tank is being rebalanced and will be moved to Tier 5 tanks. Chinese tech tree players have two new premium vehicles to choose from: the Tier 8 machines T-34-3 medium tank and 112 heavy tank.

Additionally, World of Tanks users can take their new machines for a spin in the new Tundra battle arena, outfitted as a chilly autumn environment.

Recently, Wargaming announced it would add emblems and inscriptions referencing former General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union Josef Stalin in update 8.8, items that were previously removed in World of Tanks' 8.0 update.
