Cabela’s African Adventures goes open world this fall

Cabela's African Adventures, an open world version of the longstanding hunting series, is headed to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and Windows PC via Steam this fall, Activision Publishing announced today.

The game's story will place players in environments from the desert to the jungle as they hunt for lions, leopards, white rhinoceroses, Cape buffalos and elephants in the open world environment. As the game's story progresses, players will unlock weapons and abilities to customize their loadouts. Cabela's African Adventures will also include arcade challenges like a shooting gallery and "Hot Seat" mode, which supports up to four players.

Cabela's African Adventures will ship this fall for $39.99 on PS3 and 360, $29.99 on Wii and $19.99 on Steam. You can check out a gallery of images from the upcoming game above. For more on Cabela's latest hunting adventure, check out Polygon's Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2013 review.
