Total War: Rome 2 buyers will be given advanced access to the beta version of Total War: Arena, the upcoming online multiplayer game, developer The Creative Assembly announced today.
Players who purchase Total War: Rome 2 will be able to play the beta for Arena once it is available, as well as receive $15 (USD) of in-game currency. Rome 2 players will also net extra bonuses in Arena's in-game Legion Armoury and automatically receive the high-ranking Legion status.
Total War: Arena, announced at the 2013 Game Developers Conference in March, is currently in development. It will be a free-to-play title at launch and will focus on multiplayer. Following the title's announcement during a panel, series lead designer James Russell likened Arena to a cross between an MMORPG and a MOBA.
Total War: Rome 2 will launch on Sept. 3 for Windows PC.
