Apple's iOS 7, the latest version of the company's mobile operating system, will be available Sept. 18, the company announced today.
The OS will support iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, iPad mini and the fifth-generation iPod touch.
Apple originally revealed iOS 7 during its Worldwide Developers Conference 2013 keynote this past June. Updates in iOS 7 include a revamped Game Center, a kids category for games in the App Store and support for third-party game controllers. The company released a beta version of iOS 7 earlier this year.
"iOS 7 will quickly become the world's most popular operating system," said Apple CEO Tim Cook (pictured above) during the event today. By the end of October, Apple will have sold its 700 millionth iOS device.
