Mike Capps joins Remedy Entertainment's board

Former Epic Games president Mike Capps joined the board of Finnish developer Remedy Entertainment, it was announced today on the studio's website.

Capps retired from Epic Games in December 2012 after 10 years with the company, but stayed on its board of directors until February 2013 when he announced that he was no longer affiliated with the studio.

Today, Remedy CEO Matias Myllyrinne announced that both Capps and F-Secure president Christian Frederikson are joining Remedy's board of directors in a bid to "strengthen [its] board" as the games industry goes through a transitional stage.

Speaking to Venture Beat, Myllyrinne said that the games industry is currently "going through an incredible amount of uncertainty and risk ... [and] for Remedy as a studio, we're at a stage where we felt it would be beneficial to bring in some more guidance."

Remedy Entertainment is best known for its work on Alan Wake and the Max Payne series. It announced at E3 this year that it is working on Xbox One title Quantum Break.
