Free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena SmashMuck Champions has been released for Steam Early Access.
The fast-paced Kiz Studios game tasks players with building and managing a combat team, offering a choice of roles including robot shark, platypus unicorn and yeti huntsman.
Showing SmashMuck Champions recently at PAX, art director Allen White told Polygon that the game had been made with MOBA community input. "There are so many games out there that are really doing the traditional, hardcore fantasy look and vibe, and the MOBA genre is not being explored thoroughly," he said. "We wanted to make sure that not only were we building a game that we liked, but it was a game that they liked. Involving the community just made total sense from the beginning."
