Freeplay Independent Games Festival tickets open, keynote speakers announced

Tickets for 2013 Freeplay Independent Games Festival's full program are now available, the organizers announced today, revealing that game developers Erin Robinson and Steve Swink will deliver the festival's keynote speeches.

Equipped with a background in experimental psychology and developer of Puzzle Bots, Robinson is a renowned games industry speaker and is currently developing physics-based platformer Gravity Ghost.

With a AAA development past and author of Game Feel: A Game Designer's Guide To Virtual Sensation, Swink currently teaches game and level design at the Art Institute of Phoenix. He is also actively working on puzzle game Scale.

Tickets for the conference's full program — along with the chance to see Robinson's and Swink's keynotes — and its Playful events are now available from the official website. The Freeplay Awards ceremony (Polygon's senior reporter Tracey Lien is a judge) on 29 Sept. will be hosted by comedian Dave Callan and will be open to the general public for the first time in the conference's history.

The theme for this year's annual independent developer-focused festival is "Volume of Revolution" and will be held Sept. 28-29 at the State Library of Victoria in Melbourne, Australia.
