Square Enix released the new gameplay trailer for its recently announced iOS and Android title Final Fantasy Agito, a slight retelling of Final Fantasy Type-0 from the perspective of two new customizable characters.
The free-to-play game uses realtime-based actions that affect the storyline. Agito is divided into chapters which, once the game ends, can be replayed from the beginning in order to experience new possible decision trees.
"The story is divided into chapters," producer Hajime Tabata told Famitsu. "There's an ending, and when the story ends one time, the next cycle begins and history is repeated from the beginning. The decision system here means that the game should change gradually with each cycle. We might have different decisions for you to make at the second cycle, or more choices to select from. That kind of 'live' experience is something you can only get here."
Additional information will be revealed at this year's Tokyo Game Show, which Polygon will be attending.
