Microsoft is officially the owner of Xbone.com, a domain name that came to light just days after the company's Larry Hryb expressed his dislike of the Xbox One nickname.
Hryb took to gaming forum NeoGAF earlier in the week regarding the use of "Xbone," stating: "I don't like it. It disrespects the teams that have put in thousands of hours (already) into the development of the product."
Microsoft purchased both Xboxone.com and Xboxone.net domain names earlier in the year following the unveiling of the new system. It's likely the company is securing the domain to prevent it from being used as a parody site in the future.
