Terraria's major 1.2 update hits Oct. 1, according to a tweet from developer Re-Logic's Andrew Spinks.
"The news you have all been waiting for ... The update will be out on October 1st!" he tweeted last night.
The overhaul to the 2D sandbox can be seen in a video that hit over the summer, posted above. More details are expected, including a new trailer, in the coming weeks. The update comes nearly two years after developers said they had released the last update for the game.
The update will be free through Stream to all Terraria owners, Spinks said via Twitter.
