Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, the upcoming fighting games from Sora, Ltd. and Namco Bandai Games, will feature the royal matriarch of the Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach, as a playable character.
The news was confirmed in an update to the official Smash Bros. site, which included a handful of screenshot's showing Peach's moves on both versions of the title. Peach is a returning brawler for the series, having appeared in all of the Smash Bros. games since Super Smash Bros. Melee on GameCube.
Peach is the 15th confirmed character for the Super Smash Bros. roster, which follows:

- Pikmin and Olimar
- Mario
- Donkey Kong
- Link
- Samus
- Kirby
- Fox
- Pikachu
- Bowser
- Pit
- Villager
- Mega Man
- Wii Fit Trainer
