BioWare co-founder Dr. Ray Muzyka will deliver the opening keynote address at the 10th annual Montreal International Game Summit (MIGS), the event's organizers announced today.
Muzyka's keynote, "Best Practices in Leadership and Communication," will focus on the lessons he learned after founding BioWare in 1995 with Dr. Greg Zeschuk.
"The interactive entertainment and technology industries have evolved spectacularly over the past decade," Muzyka said. "Their pace of change remains high, which makes it even more challenging for entrepreneurs to succeed, but sharing best practices can help! I was privileged to be the first speaker at the first MIGS conference ten years ago, and I'm excited and honored to be asked to keynote the Montreal International Game Summit again this year."
This year's MIGS will be held Nov. 11-12, and you can learn more at the official website.
The doctors retired from BioWare in 2012. Muzyka later explained that his decision to leave was based, in part, on the need "to seek a new beginning and try and do something different that would allow me to stay closer to home and be with my wife more."
