Disney Infinity gets a new round of Toy Box content, calls for racing levels

Disney Infinity's Toy Box mode has been expanded with five new pre-made playgrounds created by Disney and developer Avalanche Software, and will soon be bolstered with even more user-made submissions.

The new batch of levels may not contain anything as bold or perplexing as a BioShock Infinite-themed level, but they do offer a variety of different genres that the Toy Box mode is capable of recreating, including a combat arena, a classic car showcase, a kart racer and a puzzle game. All of the levels are free to download through the Toy Box menu in the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U versions of the game.

Also, starting today, the game's developers are hosting a contest for user-generated racetracks in the Toy Box mode in the three aforementioned platforms. After making a suitable racing game, you can submit it to Disney straight through the in-game menu; winners will be chosen and distributed through Disney's promoted Toy Box on Thursday, Sept. 26.

Check out the trailer below, which shows the racing level included in today's update, for an idea of what kind of submissions the developer is looking for.
