Nexon and Sega launching MapleStory 3DS game in Japan in 2014

MapleStory coming to 3DS

Sega is partnering with Nexon to launch MapleStory: The Girl's Fate on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan in 2014, Siliconera reports.

The 3DS title is based on the popular massively-multiplayer online role-playing game, but is a standalone adventure. According to Siliconera, players will take on the role of a girl who is trying to rid herself of a spirit that is inside her. While doing so, players will be able to travel to different lands and experience a desert level, sky level, grassy fields and a sunken city.

Nexon America told Polygon that it has no plans to bring the title to the U.S. market. The South Korea trailer for the game can be viewed above.
