Scrooge McDuck, Lara Croft make Forbes' list of richest fictional characters

Scrooge McDuck, Duckburg's most famous resident and the star of the recent DuckTales Remastered, topped Forbes' 2013 list of the 15 richest fictional characters with his $65.4 billion fortune in swimmable gold coins.

The Fictional 15 list includes characters from games, novels, movies and television. The Countess of Abbingdon, better known as Tomb Raider's Lara Croft, appears 12th on the list with her $1.3 billion fortune. Other fictional characters who appear on the list and have appeared in video games include Tony Stark/Iron Man ($12.4 billion), Bruce Wayne/Batman ($9.2 billion) Springfield's own C. Montgomery Burns ($1.5 million).
