The full second season of live-action drama series Mortal Kombat: Legacy 2 will launch on YouTube on Sept. 26.
Produced by Warner Bros. and hosted by Machinima, the show is directed by Kevin Tancharoen (also handling the forthcoming Mortal Kombat movie) and stars Harry Shum, Jr. (Glee) as Kuai Liang and Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers) as Johnny Cage.
The first season of Mortal Kombat: Legacy (2011) clocked up more than 70 million views and covered the fighters' origin stories. The new series focuses on a fighting tournament.
"We decided to deliver Mortal Kombat: Legacy 2 all at once," said Machinima boss Allen DeBevoise. "Binge-viewing is a major movement in online video. We're a part of this movement, and we expect this to make for an amazing and extremely engaging user experience."
