Rockstar Games is "investigating" early arrivals of Grand Theft Auto 5 from online retailer Amazon, Games Industry International reports.
Grand Theft Auto 5 is set for an official release Tuesday, Sept. 17. Some buyers who pre-ordered the game received it as early as this weekend, according to photos on Twitter and other social networking sites. Rockstar Games is aware of the early arrivals and is currently addressing them.
"We are in the process of investigating early 'sales' to determine how and why that is occurring," a representative told Games Industry International.
