Phoenix Art Museum hosting Arizona Indie Game Showcase on Sept. 21

The Arizona Indie Game Showcase will take place at the Phoenix Art Museum on Sept. 21, according to the art museum's official site.

Held in conjunction with IGDA Phoenix and the Game CoLab, the showcase offers attendees the chance to meet developers and get hands-on with approximately 20 indie games developed in Arizona. Games featured at the event include Ivy Games' Gravity Ghost, CubeHeart Games' Scale and Team Colorblind's Aztez, a trio of titles that appeared as part of the PAX Prime 2013 Indie Megabooth.

Developers slated to take part in the Arizona Indie Game Showcase include Corey Nolan, Danny Perski, Ara Shirinian, Kyle Pulver, Super Fun Games, Little Box, Propelled Bird Software, Aoineko Studios, Elemental Entertainment, Return to Adventure Mountain, Shattered Sky Games, Morgopolis Studios, 3 Turn Productions, Asymmetric Publications and Lightmare Studios.

The Phoenix Art Museum is also currently hosting The Art of Video Games, an ongoing Smithsonian American Art Museum exhibit celebrating the history and joy of video games. The exhibition in Phoenix ends Sept. 29 where it then moves on to the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, New York, running from Oct. 25 until Jan. 19, 2014.
