Nintendo announces National StreetPass Day for 3DS players in UK

National StreetPass Day, a day of events offering 3DS owners the chance to win prizes and rack up their StreetPass tallies, will take place in the U.K. on Sept. 28, Nintendo announced today.

Events will take place at London's Waterloo Station and the Manchester Piccadilly Station beginning at 9 a.m. local time.

Attendees will be able to meet up with other 3DS owners and collect other attendees' StreetPasses, as well as play a live-action version of StreetPass game Puzzle Swap and other on-site games. Nintendo will also host mini tournaments for Mario Kart 7 and Luigi's Mansion 2 (Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon in North America), the winners of which will be awarded prizes.

Additionally, a Luigi mascot will be present for a meet and greet at Waterloo Station, while Pokemon starters Oshawott, Tepig and Snivy will be at the Piccadilly event.

Nintendo will also set up a dedicated StreetPass booth at the 2103 Eurogamer Expo, which will take place in London's Earl's Court Sept 26 through 29.
