Toki Tori developer Two Tribes Games is working on a "2D shoot em up," according to a series of tweets from the company's official Twitter account today.
The game, which the developer characterizes an "experiment" right now, is called Rewind. The name is a reference to an in-game mechanic, which "started out with rewinds but that may be dropped."
Since development is looking "likely," Two Tribes posted the following for questions about the genre on Twitter.
REPHRASE TIME! Question 1: What is your favorite 2D shoot 'm up, and WHY :)

Question number 2: What mechanic or aspect of a 2D shooter puts you off?

Question Three: Do you mind the 'start from the beginning' setup lots of old school 2d shoot 'm ups have?
— Two Tribes (@TwoTribesGames) September 16, 2013
Question four: Why do you not mind starting over. What's the draw of replaying the earlier stages for you?
