Agarest: Generations of War available for pre-purchase, 20 percent off

Tactical role-playing game Agarest: Generations of War is available for pre-purchase on Steam for $15.99, 20 percent off its original price of $19.99.

Those who pre-purchase the title will receive the following seven downloadable packs for free:

• Upgrade Pack 2
• Dull-Things Pack
• Fallen Angel Pack
• Magic Fighter Pack
• Legendary Monster Pack
• Basic Adventure Pack

Once Agarest: Generations of War launches on Oct. 3, the price will return to normal and DLC packs will be available to purchase individually. The title was cleared for distribution on Valve's platform in April, passing the Steam Greenlight vetting process along with Dead State, Frozen Endzone, Death, Inc. and Shovel Kight.

First published as Record of Agarest War in Japan in 2007 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 the following year, Agarest launched in North America on Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2010. The Steam Windows PC release is based on the North American Xbox 360 version.
