Nvidia has appointed Colette Kress, a 24-year veteran of the technology industry and former executive of Microsoft and Cisco, as its new executive vice president chief financial officer, the company announced today.
Kress worked at Texas Instruments before moving to Microsoft for 13 years. At Microsoft, she served a four-year run as the Server and Tools division CFO and held temrs in senior positions of the company's finance and corporate planning sectors.
More recently, Kress was senior vice president and CFO of Cisco's Business Technology and Operations Finance division, where she took charge of the company's financial strategies and planning. She was also responsible for all business development and oversaw engineering and operations.
Kress will assume her new roles in late September and will report directly to Nvidia president and CEO Jen-Hsun Huang.
"We have searched extensively for the right candidate and are thrilled to have Colette join us," said Nvidia CEO Huang. "She brings fantastic experience, excellent financial management skills and deep industry knowledge to Nvidia. Colette will be a great asset as we work to extend our global leadership in visual computing, mobile and the cloud."
