Syntertainment, SimCity creator Will Wright's new company, secured $5 million in investments, Venture Beat reports.
Investors include including the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz and John Riccitiello, the former president and CEO of Electronic Arts.
Wright co-founded Syntertainment with Avi Bar-Zeev. Though its current projects aren't known, its official description places the company "at the intersection of entertainment and reality" with founding principles concerned about "changing the world through uniquely fun and lasting user experiences."
"This is not a huge megaproject," Wright said. "It is an evolution of my interests."
