Touch game Sidekick Cycle helps kids get on the move

Global Gaming Initiative's first title Sidekick Cycle is out now for iOS. Proceeds from the game go towards the purchase of bicycles for kids living in poverty.

The one-touch downhill biking game features more than 30 tracks set in Africa and North America as well as various trick skills and rides. GGI donates 50 percent of all money raised from sales of the game to World Bicycle Relief, purchasing one bicycle for every 385 downloads.

Developed by Berlin-based It Matters Games, Sidekick Cycle costs $0.99. An Android version is planned in the next few weeks.

"We're not just a game company, we're a giving company," said GGI CEO Elizabeth Sarquis. "Today represents the realization of that dream for us."
