Sega and developer tri-Ace released a gameplay trailer today for the upcoming Phantasy Star Nova, a PlayStation Vita title that was first announced at Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asian's Press Conference earlier this month.
The trailer shows off the game's battle system and introduces players to the game's characters, enemy types and environments. It also offers a look at how the game's concept art translated into the final product.
Phantasy Star Nova is a "new Phantasy Star series," according to producer Satoshi Sakai in a recent issue of Famitsu magazine. "[It is] centered around multiplayer and an offline story mode. In that way, it's close to Phantasy Star Portable."
The game is due to launch in Japan in 2014. There is currently no word on whether the game will be released in North America or Europe.
