Uplay 4.0 hits PC in October with Twitch, headed to next-gen consoles

Uplay 4.0 is coming to PC this October, Ubisoft announced today.

Uplay PC 4.0 will incorporate Twitch streaming services, so that users can broadcast video of their games. It will also include an "improved download manager" that allows for progressive game downloads and auto-patching. A new "social wall" will corral friends' activities.

Uplay is also headed to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next-gen consoles, when they launch later this year.

Ubisoft launched the Uplay platform for PC in 2012. This February, it added third-party games to the Uplay Shop. You can find out more about the new 4.0 services at the official Uplay website.
