The First Blood update for Valve's multiplayer online battle arena game, Dota 2, is scheduled to rollout on Sept 23, according to the game's official website.
First Blood will introduce LAN play functionality for up to ten players. The update will feature an improved armoury where players can build filters and navigate by item type, quality, rarity and more. A new game mode called Captains Draft, that randomly selects 8 str, 8 agi and 8 int heroes for both teams to select from, will also rollout with the update.
Mac and Linux versions of Dota 2 will receive a list of improvements and fixes. The full list of changes and fixes scheduled for Dota 2 across hero builds, audio, visual, technical, community, UI and gameplay aspects can be viewed in full on the game's official website.
Dota 2 came out of its extended beta and officially released on Steam for Windows PC on Jul 9 and later saw a release on Linux and Mac on Jul 19.
