World of Warplanes launch delayed until Nov. 13

Wargaming is delaying the launch of its flight combat MMO World of Warplanes until Nov. 12 and Nov. 13, in CIS countries and in North America and Europe, respectively, it was announced by the firm today via press release.

The game was initially scheduled for release worldwide this month; However, the studio today announced it will postpone the launch to provide a "more immersive multiplayer experience."

"We are committed to releasing a great title and are doing everything to ensure that World of Warplanes gets the final polish we believe the game needs," said World of Warplanes' Director of Global Operations Vlad Belozerov in a prepared statement. "The extra time will allow the development team to fine-tune the game balance and make sure that every feature is top-notch before launch."

Once the game goes live, experience points earned throughout the open beta will not be reset, while the total sum of experience points earned will be distributed evenly between pilots of low-level warplanes from all five national lines at release.
