Actor Colin Farrell has apparently been offered a lead role in the World of Warcraft film adaption, according to a report by Deadline, with Paula Patton is currently negotiating a lead role.
According to Deadline, who cites sources, Farrell accepting the deal is "50/50." Patton has previously starred in Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and Precious, and is rumoured for Mission: Impossible 5.
Legendary Pictures and Atlas Entertainment are in the process of casting for the Warcraft movie, with Moon and Source Code director Duncan Jones currently testing actors for other lead roles. Charles Leavitt (K-PAX, Blood Diamond, Seventh Son) is attached to the movie's script.
According to reports late last month, Legendary Pictures plans to begin filming on Jan. 13 and have set-up offices at Canadian Motion Picture Park in Vancouver, British Columbia. Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. unveiled the first footage of the World of Warcraft film at Comic-Con in July.
