Valve announces Linux-based SteamOS

Valve pulled back the curtain on its first of three announcements yesterday afternoon, detailing the company's efforts to bring gaming into the living room: SteamOS, a Linux-based platform that run on "living room machines." The next of the three announcements will hit Wednesday afternoon. It's widely speculated that this will be about hardware.
