Vikings bring axes, beards and bearskins to Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior

Historical multiplayer combat expansion Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior will be going into beta next month, offering players an opportunity to battle as various fighting cultures throughout history.

The Chivalry: Medieval Warfare expansion is based on the the Spike TV series, Deadliest Warrior. Developer Torn Banner has revealed more details of its Viking class, which can dual-wield one-handed weapons, throw axes and generally affect a barbaric and menacing demeanor. The Vikings can muster three-hit combos, which can end in double-handed strike. Combos get faster as they go on. Bearskin cloaks and beard colors are unlockable.

The Vikings will be pitched against Samurai, Spartan, Viking, Knight, Pirate and Ninja when the Windows PC beta begins next month. The full game will launch later this year priced at $15.
