iOS 7 Tech Talks offer guidance on app, game creation

Apple is offering "in-depth guidance" for app and game developers on how to create content for the company's newest mobile operating system, iOS 7, through its Tech Talks event series.

The company will hold app and game developer days from October to December in San Francisco, New York, Tokyo, Shangai, Berlin and London. For game developers, talks will teach attendees how to use Sprite Kit, OpenGL ES, Game Center and more.

Developers who wish to attend must apply; submissions will be open until 1 p.m. ET on Friday, Sept. 27.

iOS 7 launched for iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, iPad mini and the fifth-generation iPod Touch Sept. 18. The update adds a revamped Game Center, a kids category for games and third-party game controller support.

The first App Developer Day takes place in San Francisco Oct. 8, followed Oct. 9 by the first Game Developer Day. Check out the Tech Talk page for a full list of dates.
