In a two-pronged attack on your nostalgia pleasure center, publisher Devolver Digital marks the release of Shadow Warrior — Flying Wild Hog's re-imagining of the 3D Realms' 1997 shooter and slice 'em up— with a launch trailer set to the music of '80s rocker Stan Bush.
Best known for its association with The Transformers: The Movie, Bush's "The Touch" is used to comedic effect in Shadow Warrior's latest gameplay trailer, which is soft on Wang puns but replete with fabricated accolades. The trailer is also stuffed with dozens of grisly deaths by gun, grenade and katana, illustrating how over-the-top and violent the new Shadow Warrior is compared to the late '90s original.
Shadow Warrior will be available through Steam, GOG.com, the Humble store and Get Games for Windows PC. The title retails for $39.99.
