As the Kickstarter campaign for Mighty No. 9 winds down, its developers added a new stretch goal today: PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS versions of the game, which would be funded at the $3.5 million level.
With more than four days to go in the funding drive, co-developers Comcept and Inti Creates have raised nearly $2.64 million — nearly three times their original goal of $900,000. The campaign's total has already surpassed the stretch goals for Mac, Linux, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U versions.
At $3.3 million, the developers would be able to release Mighty No. 9 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and at $3.5 million, they would be able to bring the game to PS Vita and 3DS. The handheld versions would be developed with the help of Abstraction Games, which handled the PS Vita and PS3 ports of Hotline Miami.
