EverQuest 2's free-to-play, Silver item restrictions ending Oct. 1

The current restrictions on items for free-to-play and Silver Account users of EverQuest 2, Sony Online Entertainment's massively multiplayer online role-playing game, will be lifted Oct. 1, according to a post by senior producer Holly Longdale on the game's official message boards.

On the same day, Gold Members will be rewarded with a permanent 15 percent increase in Coin Loot and a 10 percent increase in mount speed.

The developers are also making EverQuest 2's first expansion, Age of Discovery, available as a feature bundle in the game's marketplace on Oct. 1. The entire package will be available for 4,000 Station Cash (about $40), SOE's universal currency.
