Amnesia developer teasing next project

Swedish indie developer Frictional Games is teasing its next project through a mysterious placeholder website.

The developer is best known for survival horror game Amnesia: The Dark Descent and for publishing its sequel, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. There's little information about the new game on its splash page, which is hosted at "nextfrictionalgame.com." The page displays a progress bar (36 percent complete at the time of this post) and the text "booting system after unexpected shutdown. Please stand by."

Last year, Frictional announced that it was working on a new "super secret project" that would explore deeper horror themes than its previous work. At the time of the announcement, the studio hoped to release the game in 2014.
