The Long Dark's Kickstarter campaign now includes a $1,000 tier that awards backers all future games from the developer, Hinterland Studio announced via Kickstarter.
The Long Dark is Hinterland's first-person post-disaster sim game in which players must learn to survive in the wilderness after a catastrophic event. There are 10 spots total, two of which have already been claimed, for the Founder's Status tier. This includes early access to the game, limited edition prints, a hardcover coffee table book and more, in addition to future titles. According to the update, receiving Founder's Status is a way of saying thank you "for believing in us." Founder's Status backers receive information on any future projects and access to their betas.
The post also includes updated information for the game's Oculus Rift stretch goal, which is currently available at $250,000. If funding reaches $100,000 by Oct. 2, Oculus Rift support will be available at the base funding level of $200,000.
Hinterland Studio launched the campaign on Sept. 16. At the time of this post, it's raised $90,000 of its $200,000 goal. Funding ends Oct. 16. For more on the game, check out our interview with creative director Raphael van Lierop.
