Google will roll-out a Google Glass app store in 2014, according to The New York Times review on the device.
"The company says an app store is coming next year, when Glass is available to the general public," Clive Thompson wrote. Google Glass is expected to release to consumers at an unannounced date in 2014.
A Google representative later confirmed the store's expected launch in 2014 with Marketing Land. According to Marketing Land, the spokesperson was unable to comment if Google Glass developers will be able to charge for apps by the time the store goes live or whether the app store will be a separate entity from Google Play.
Google shut down the Games section of Google Plus on June 30 to usher in its Google Play game services. Based on the new service, Google unveiled Google Play Games in July, an Android app with Game Center-like functionality, that lists users games, manages friends, tracks achievements and leaderboards.
Last month, developer Sean McCracken posted a video of his upcoming game for Google Glass called Psyclops. The game, where players target and take out mobile obstacles, is a combination of "old school" Space Invaders and Missile Command influences.
