Total War: Rome 2's first patch coming this Friday

The first patch for Total War: Rome 2, The Creative Assembly's just-released strategy game, is coming this Friday, according to a post on the series' official Facebook page.

The game's first patch will address "known instances of crashes due to hardware conflicts alongside several other performance fixes." The developer plans to update the game weekly "in the immediate future," and patch notes will be available on the game's official website.

Late last month, The Creative Assembly outlined its post-launch plans for Total War: Rome 2, including a mixture of free and paid content. The free content will center around compatibility fixes as well as balancing AI and gameplay based on the metrics gained from the game's player base.
