Rayman Legends on Vita to be patched with missing levels

The PlayStation Vita version of Rayman Legends is missing some content that the game contains on other platforms, and Ubisoft will eventually patch the handheld version to add in that content, the company said today.

Upon the release of Rayman Legends in North America yesterday, buyers of the PS Vita version discovered that it lacked the 28 "Invasion" levels — extra-difficult speed run stages — that are available in the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows PC and Wii U versions of the game. (Last month, Ubisoft delayed the PS Vita version in Europe until Sept. 13.)

The Invasion levels weren't included on PS Vita "due to a longer development time than expected," said Gary Steinman, communications manager for Ubisoft, in a comment on the UbiBlog. He added, "We can confirm that the Invasion Mode will be added via a free patch, at a later date."

Rayman Legends on PS Vita and PC is cheaper than on PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U — $39.99 instead of $59.99.
