Creative Intelligence's Squad-based Japanese role-playing game, Project Phoenix, will see a release on PlayStation 4 and the PS Vita, the developer announced on its Kickstarter page.
"Over the past few weeks, we’ve received many messages, e-mails, and queries about the possibility of the game being released on the PS4 and PS Vita and now, after long negotiations and discussions, that wish has become a reality!" an update on the Kickstarter page states. "So although not every single detail about the release has been finalized, we’re proud and excited at the prospect of developing for the Playstation platform."
According to the update, the developer is working on pledge tiers for the platforms through its Paypal donation page. Backers who prefer a PlayStation 4 or PS Vita version and have already pledged funds through Kickstarter are asked to keep an eye on updates for more information.
Project Phoenix surpassed its second stretch-funding goal of $650,000 yesterday and will now feature cities with more detail. As well as PlayStation 4 and PS Vita, Project Phoenix is being developed for Windows PC, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android, with an expected 2015 launch. The game's Kickstarter campaign will end Sept. 11 and the funding drive currently sits at $732,000 from 12,170 backers of its initial $100,000 goal.
