Tale of Tales, the Belgian studio behind The Path and Bientôt l'été, is working on a game called An Empty World, the company announced yesterday with a teaser trailer.
The video consists mostly of concept art, but also includes brief glimpses at gameplay, with a gray bird flying across a verdant, surreal landscape.
According to the trailer, the two-person team at Tale of Tales — Michaël Samyn and Auriea Harvey — will serve as directors on An Empty World. They are collaborating with Dear Esther composer Jessica Curry, design firm Meowmi, animator Laura Smith and modeler Marie Lazar.
Tale of Tales debuted the trailer at the Independent Games Summit during GDC Europe in Cologne, Germany, last month. According to the end of the video, An Empty World is scheduled for release in 2015.
