The latest trailer for Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, the upcoming third-person shooter, highlights the four core playable zombie classes featured in the game.
Each zombie class has a unique weapon and three abilities. The soldier is equipped with a Z1 assault blaster, with a rocket launcher as a secondary weapon, along with the ability to create a Zombie Steam Cloud. The All-Star, a football playing zombie, has a football cannon and can punt an exploding imp into plants.
The engineer zombie has a concrete launcher, sonic grenade, can build zombot turrets and can activate the zombie teleporters. The scientist is equipped with a Zomboss goo blaster and can create heal stations.
Earlier this week, developer PopCap Games revealed that Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare won't have a single-player campaign, instead offering four-player co-op and up to 24 players in competitive modes.
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is slated for release next year on Xbox 360 and and Xbox One for $39.99. The game's producer, Brian Lindley, previously mentioned that he doubts the game will be an Xbox platform exclusive, saying "Our goal is to bring this game to the widest audience possible, keep that in the back of your head as you’re waiting to hear more."
