Konami has released a video showing the process with which it turned Dutch model Stefanie Joosten into a character in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.
In the video, Joosten sits in the middle of a rig comprised of dozens of cameras and emotes as they capture images of her. These camera images are used to form a composite model, which is then used as the basis for the mute sniper Quiet in the game.
The video also shows Joosten in a motion-capture suit going through animations like crouching behind cover and holding Quiet's rifle.
Creator Hideo Kojima stirred controversy earlier this week when he said via Twitter that he had the character of Quiet redesigned to be more "erotic," comments he clarified to Polygon in a Q&A session yesterday.
