Total War: Rome 2's second patch beta expected this week

The second patch for Total War: Rome 2 is "already in internal testing" and expected to be released in beta form on Monday, developer The Creative Assembly announced via email.

The patch is targeted in part at the "2 percent of Rome 2 players reporting technical problems," and the "entire team [is] working on a series of patches that will hit weekly for the immediate future" to solve any remaining issues.

In the meantime, the developer is encouraging players experiencing graphical issues to visit the game's official support forum, where they can find " a number of fixes."

Total War: Rome 2's first patch was released late last week. Both of these patches are part of an overall post-launch support plan that The Creative Assembly outlined recently.

To celebrate the game's release, the developer published a YouTube video that focuses on projectile weapons. Press play above to see some real-life versions of the weapons that appear in Total War: Rome 2, hosted by actor Brian Blessed.
