The PlayStation 4 will launch in Japan on Feb. 22, 2014 for ¥39,980 and ¥43,980 bundled with its Eye camera peripheral, it was announced at Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia's Press Conference 2013 today.
Consumers in the region who purchase the PlayStation 4 at launch will receive Knack for free and The PlayRoom will come pre-installed on Japanese consoles.
Sony revealed during its E3 press conference in June that its next-generation console will launch at $399 in the US, €399 in Europe and £349 in the U.K., releasing this holiday.
First announced in February of this year, the PlayStation 4 ships with the touch-sensitive DualShock 4. It will feature will feature voice command capabilities through its Eye camera peripheral, will support free party chat and allow players to have up to 2,000 players on their friends lists.
