A new developer diary for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag features the game's developers talking about the open world in which Edward Kenway and his band of pirates set sail.
Each of the cities has its unique flavor, say the developers: Havana is a European-style city and one of the biggest in the New World at the time, whereas Kingston is a developing port with lush scenery and a wholly different style of architecture.
The dev diary also talks about open-world features like underwater gameplay and whaling; these were covered in-depth in a video released last week.
Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag hits Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U on Oct. 29 and will be a launch title for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A Windows PC version is planned for a yet-unannounced later date.
